About Us

We teach that Christianity begins in the home, that God-fearing families make up strong churches.  In turn, the strong church can effectively impact the community.

We teach the Bible Doctrine of the Oneness of God and being born again with the old things passing away and all things becoming new (2 Corinthians 5:17) and principles of holiness.

Our prayer is the witness of this church and what God has done and is doing can be an inspiration to others.  It is our desire to be a beacon of light for those in darkness and give hope to the hopeless by letting God’s love shine through each Spirit-filled member.

Church History

The Apostolic Church of Bellefonte had its humble beginnings in the Spring Lakes Restaurant building in Bellefonte, AR.  During its early days in 1970 there were some wonderful conversions and healings under the leadership of Pastor William C. Willis.

Land was donated by a Bro. and Sis. Nelson for a church building.  With the sacrifice and donations of many, a church was soon built. This church was founded upon the Biblical Doctrine of the Oneness of God, the new birth experience, and the life of holiness.

The congregation continued having services at this location until February 8, 1986, at which time the building was destroyed by fire.  New property was purchased on Highway 65, just south of junction 62/412 in Bellefonte, AR and the church once again went into a building program, this time under the leadership of Pastor Larry George.  In the meantime, the congregation continued their services by renting the old Boone County Library building located next to the hospital in Harrison.

After six months of building, the church held its first service in the new sanctuary and dedication services took place in January of 1987.

The church continues to have services today at this location, under the leadership of Pastor Nathan Hargrave.

We are a wonderful mix of all ages and our goal as a church is to effectively minister to each.  We have an thriving bus ministry, kids’ church, youth program and more.  We endeavor to help each other to grow in Christ, to equip with the knowledge of God’s Word, and become a witness of God’s grace to others.
